Our Origin Story
In 2011, the Sendai earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster devastated Japan. Dana Leong’s mother’s home region was decimated. In response, Dana founded TEKTONIK as an artist collective using music as a healing vehicle for disaster and trauma victims worldwide. What began as benefit concerts evolved into neuroscience-backed soundscapes, immersive hospital installations and partnerships with the United Nations, World Economic Forum and Stanford University, reaching over 100 million people globally.
